What is Xcentrisity? Xcentrisity is a practical approach to building business web applications and services that minimizes the cost and maximizes useful lifetime of the software and hardware components. Xcentrisity consists of a methodology, an architecture, and a set of programming techniques built on and around the standards and specifications of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It is the answer to "webifying" your RM/COBOL applications and providing your customers with location-free computing. It is open-ended by design to allow the greatest degree of flexibility. It makes use of industry standards such as XML and HTTP, and can utilize open source products like Apache and Linux, as well as Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX and other proprietary systems.
