Privacy Disclosure Policy
Liant (including its software products) will not collect or transmit any of your personally identifying information (e.g., name, address, company name, email addresses, telephone numbers, and/or facsimile numbers) without your express permission.

Liant will not collect or transmit any of your proprietary information (e.g., programs, databases, files, and registry information) without your express permission.

Any of your private information (i.e., personally identifying information and proprietary information) held by Liant is guarded with a degree of care equivalent to or better than the degree to which Liant guards its own private information.

Liant will not give, sell or trade your private information, no matter how it is obtained, to any third party without your express permission, unless required to do so by law, to comply with legal process served on Liant, to protect and defend the rights or property of Liant, or to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Liant products or the public.

Liant will use your private information only for purposes indicated at the time your express permission is given.

If you expressly agree to the terms of Liant’s End User License Agreement (EULA) for a Liant software product, the product may, from time to time, communicate Liant’s own information (e.g., product serial numbers, license identification and parameters, use levels, and availability of updates) between your computer and a Liant entity. Additionally, a machine digest may be communicated in order to differentiate between discrete licensed product installations. This machine digest is a one-way hash of various machine and system parameters that do not comprise any private information. This machine digest cannot be reversed to recover or reconstruct any of the information used to compute it. In no case will any information communicated to Liant in this manner be used to convey or reconstruct any of your private information.

Liant's products may require activation in order to properly install and operate. In some cases, this activation will include an exchange as described in point 6. If this is the case, and if the exchange is successful, the activation will take place automatically. If this exchange is not successful or not permitted, the activation may require manual communication of the information referred to in point 6 to a Liant entity or an authorized agent of Liant. If such a case, the information communicated manually will be treated in the same manner as if it had been communicated by automatic means.

Liant’s products may use information collected by the means of point number 6 in order to restrict product operation to comply with the terms of the applicable EULA.

If you do not accept the terms of a product’s End User License Agreement (i.e., you do not expressly agree) at the time of installation, no information of any kind will be collected or communicated by Liant or its products.
