Product Activation Instructions |
The installation of Liant's software products may require activation under some circumstances. These circumstances include the following:
- Installation of a product at some interval after the license date
- Installation of a product licensed for use in some geopolitical regions
Note: You may be asked to activate a product if your system date/time is set to an unusual value. If you think this is the case, you may either set your system date/time to a value that approximates the correct date/time (which is xxxxx UTC) and retry the installation, or you may leave your system date/time alone and continue with the manual activation process outlined below.
Normally, the product activation code is supplied automatically as needed, and installation proceeds with no interruption. In some cases, however, automatic activation is not desired or not possible. In those cases, the installation process will present a form that notes "Your installation requires an Activation Code." If you see this Installation Activation Form, you must obtain a product activation code by one of the following ways:
- If you purchased the product from an authorized Liant distributor or reseller (but not Liant itself), please contact the distributor or reseller first. They may prefer to provide the activation code for the Liant product directly to you.
- If you purchased the product directly from Liant Software Corporation in the U.S. or Liant Software, Ltd. in the U.K., or you are unable to obtain the activation information from your distributor or reseller, please contact Liant by one of the following means:
Electronically by filling out the web activation request form
By telephone or fax
Regardless of which approach you take, you will need to supply the information presented on the Installation Activation Form.
Note that product activation itself does not require or convey any personally identifying information. If you are obtaining an activation code electronically, you must supply a valid email address to which we will send the activation code. This email address will be used only for this purpose, unless you indicate otherwise.
